Happy Spring!
It is officially spring!
Spring officially took bloom on March 20th, 2023.
As stated in my previous article, the month of March has been a little chaotic for me. I have been taking April to slowly, but surely get back on track with consistency and quality articles to post. I didn’t want to mass-produce articles for the sake of being consistent. I want every time I post an article to be my best work so that is why I thought it was necessary that I just take a step back. This is because one of my main goals for 2023 was to work on consistency and the quality of my articles. I will discuss how to check in with your 2023 goals later in the article.
I love spring. Spring is the perfect time to declutter, re-focus, and just reflect. The first thing I did was my spring cleaning. Spring cleaning looks a little different for me because I am a college student and it is difficult sometimes to find time to dedicate to only cleaning during the school week. I managed to find the time though, and it was worth it. Everything is definitely about time management in college and I am learning that now be on the lookout for a more in-depth article about how to manage your time while in college!
Spring 2023 cleaning checklist
Number One: Start washing your sheets, comforters, blankets, and clothes before you begin cleaning.
(It is easier to do this before you begin cleaning because you can tackle two things at once.)
Number Two: Clear all surfaces and wipe them down with a disinfecting wipe.
Number Three: Re-organize your desk and drawers after disinfecting.
Number Four: Declutter your phone and computer as well.
Number Five: Vacum, sweep, or mop your room.
These are just a few examples of what you can do for spring cleaning. This is personally what I do and it is very helpful.
Now it’s time to do a 2023 goals check-in. So it is officially three months into the new year and this is around the time when many people are discouraged from their goals or staying consistent with their goals. I am achieving three out of the five goals that I set for the new year. I would love to achieve all five, but I am proud of myself for achieving three so far.
The one piece of advice I would give to anyone that is feeling discouraged because they have fallen short of the goals that they set is to give yourself grace. Take the time to reevaluate that vision board, that list, that journal entry that you made at the beginning of the year describing what you wanted to do or who you wanted to become, and give yourself grace.
As humans, we are always evolving, and I’m sure in some capacity you have grown or achieved a goal that you set. It’s never too late to try and achieve your goal. Just reevaluate, restart, and go for it!
